Introduction

History of Salima Organization

Salima Organization was founded in August 2020 as a youth-led awareness initiative. In 2022, it was officially registered with the Ministry of Social Development under Declaration No. 9329 of 2006 in Sudan.

The organization was initially established to raise awareness within communities about the social consequences of harmful practices such as Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Child Marriage. Over time, the Salima Organization expanded its mission beyond local awareness, embracing a global perspective on sustainable development goals (SDGs). The organization now actively promotes quality education, gender equality, peacebuilding, and climate action to create a more just and sustainable world.

Awareness Initiatives

Our initiatives focus on combating harmful practices like FGM and GBV, promoting education, and fostering peacebuilding efforts to create a better future for the youth in our community.
